alloys??

Post by eze »

Hi ppl,

ok, well firstly i'm new to all this. just kinda stumbled across this site but so far its been really useful.

i have a 1.2E 3dr, its my first car and i've decided to make my first mod, a set of alloys (amazin sound system aside) :D .

dont have a clue about the wheel sizes or how much im expectin to pay. could someone help me out with some prices and what i should be looking for?? i'm not sure what will lose the warranty but im willing to pay the extra from vw to keep it.

thanks in advance,
eze.

You can get second hand 16" BBS split rims for 350-400 and then need 240 for tyres such as Falkens 205 45 16 size.

Have a look at members rides for some example mods!

Good luck.

would prefer new ones you see.

Hi 3 of us have just done this mod(and actually ended up getting the same alloys-see pics below) Keep an eye on ebay for some they are reasonable and well you can find a bargin and I can put you in touch with an alloy wheel delaer if your interested.

On the new front, check out:
www.wheel-base.co.uk
www.styledynamix.co.uk

these are both good places and if your going to a 16" riim form a tiny and quite frankly ridiculous(like me) 14" rim then your best getting 205/45/16 tyres(see petrol cap for guide)

Any more info needed then just PM me and I'll try and help, oh and you found the best Polo site/forum..anything else is simply inferior!

I might be wrong but I sure you were selling the above wheels with a different name?! I hope you are not going to sell it for 900 quids.
