Quite simply, whats the difference between a Golf 4 with an all-silver GTI badge, and the ones with a GTI badge? I assumed it was non-turbo (silver) and turbo (red I) but apparently I'm wrong
Yes, generally speaking thats how it should be, the red I usually means it the 1.8T model, and the all silver the 2l na model. Though there are quite a few people with all silver badges having the 1.8t engine, and the 150pd tdi's having the GT and red i as well. I was told its upto the dealers how they badge the cars when they come into the dealership, so some of they don't follow the rules.
NOTHING TO DO WITH DEALERS IT HOW THEY COME FROM FACTORY THE LITTLE BADGE MONKEY IN THE SHEAD BEHIND THE VW FACTORY JUST PUTS WHAT HE WANTS ON WE GETTING LOTS OF PD ENGINE MOTORS WITH JUST SILVER TDI AND IT SHOULD BE SILVER TD AND RED I NO KEELPOLO ITS NOT DO DO WITH VALVES
90% of polo GTi's have silver GT and a red i don't they ? only a few early models have the all red badges..which are rare. or am i missing the question here
AKAIK all UK Polo GTis should have a silver G, silver T, red I badge. All-red badges were seen on the european-spec model, some of which have found their way to these shores. Plus some owners may have swapped a few badges about, for instance having a red T as well as the I.
