They should fit the Polo fine, the Mk2 Golf rear handles are the same size as the Polo ones.

As above, I've checked ETKA and the Mk2 Golf handle is the same part number as the Mk3 Polo one.

Mk2 golf grabhandles do not fit the mk3 polo. As a mate of mine smoothed the lock using a cd case and some filler, then sprayed it all up. Went to fit it and it was too long really gutted. So make sure you get the mk3 polo one or just smooth the one you got for free, easy enough. :D

They do fit! What with them being the same part number and all...

I've got a colour-coded one from an Oak-green Mk2 16v that I was going to respray. The non-painted ones are part number 191 827 577 C (same number for Polo and Golf) if anyone's interested, and the primered ones are 191 827 577 A.

Edited to add:
I first realised they were the same whilst down my local scrappy. They'd stacked a Mk3 Polo on top of the Mk2 16v, so I pulled the handles off to compare...

Oh, and if you look on the Cult Society's webpage it lists the handle as being suitable for both Mk2 Golf and Polo 86C (i.e. Mk3 Polo).

Some handles have the number plate lights in different places but if you look at the pic of the Cult Society handle you will see that it has holes cut out for both types

The colour coded one on my car is from a mk2 golf. the only bit i had to modify slightly was where the numberplate lights went.everything else is the same! 8)

i'd be up for a group buy definatly!

i emailed the company who sells them in this country asking if it would fit a polo 3 and they said:

"The item you refer to E80214 is the D-Locked version of the tailgate handle which has now been replaced by E80214A as this type allows you to fit your original lock if you wish to keep the use of the key or fill the aperture if you dont want the lock.
The item is available from stock but if ordering online please choose delivery by courier at £10 plus vat as we do not post this item.
I am not sure if this will fit the Polo 3 as have not been told it does neither have I tried to fit one either
"

however, on there website e80214 is the one which uses the key, and the e80214A is the one which needs the solenoid! think there has been a bit of confusion somewhere! so whos gonna get in contact about a group buy??

I'm interested in a group buy. And I'm after the one that allows you to keep your original lock (if thats what you meant hardhitter?).
