Can I use G12 Coolant in a Mark3?

I'm needing to change the coolant in my car, as it just looks like water (no anti-freeze= uh oh!). Spoken to my local stealers about the availability of G11, and has been discontinued. I was told that the current G12 stuff will be fine, but can anyone confirm this. Price by the way is Â£4.56 + VAT which I thought was quite reasonable.

I think the stuff they now sell is purple ! Replaces the G11 blue and newer pink stuff and is compatible with both.

Yes you can use it.

gsf still sell G11. Its something like a tenner for 5 litres.

Went with G12+ in the end. Still better than what it had in it. Was like pure water.
