Removing grille

I want to order a new grille for my car - I think it's the same as Mole's car's, anyway it can be viewed @ http://www.sportech.co.za/newpolofront.htm

My question now is, can anyone gimme directions on how to remove the grille of the car...how difficult is it and also...the VW logo how easy is that to remove from the grille? I would like to get info before ordering the new grille - gonna cost me around Â£120 (includes spraying it, shipping and VAT).

Yes that's the same as mine.
To remove the existing grille is very easy.
Just two screws on top either side (under the bonnet) and two clips there also. Then it just pulls off. It's hard to explain but easy enough to do!

The badge is held on with 3 (i think) clips which can be seen when the grille is removed. This is pretty tricky to remove but can be done!! Again, hard to explain but if you look you'll see how it's done.

Thx mole...seems easy enough. Just have to order the grille and then I'll try the fitting bit. Just a few more question...the mesh bit - is it plastic or metal...and does it run vertical/horizontal or diagonal? (Can't make it out on the pic too clearly).

The VW logo on your car - if u look @ the 2nd pic that u feature in the 'Member's Rides Thread' - is it similiar to the local on the back (meaning that u can see grey bits in between the chrome) or does the 'cut out bit' like go all the way throught - oh I hope this makes sense. The reason I'm asking is, did they change the logos at all since the started manufacturing the 9N series?

..and then the last question. With this new grille, does the VW logo sit a bit higher - meaning fitting more snug into the cut out bit in the bonnet?
