How about this for an annoying thing to break...

Post by 13twelve »

i had a clifford cat 1 alarm fitted to my 1.4 L polo with some motors to get the central locking thing working (cos the L doesnt got central locking or leccy windows :-( )

this was years ago, K and N in Wigan did it, they didnt take this p*** out of me like obviously like i know mechanics do sometimes and i have no real complaints,

the bonnet sensor has to be moved all the time, it gets wet and makes the alarm think the cars being broken into..

anyways, thats not whats broken.

when you start my car, the doors lock themselves - in case any s**t wants to hijhack my 97 mk4 polo (haw haw)

this becomes a pain in the arse with passengers, who dont travel in my car often, or are just stupid. they get stuck in my car and have to be told how to get out. it sounds simple, just pull the thing up on the door. but it gets old, quick.

anyways, one fine day i'm wanting to get out my side, keeping the engine running to keep it warm and so the girlfriend doesnt freeze her ass off (its a real pretty ass) so i pulls up the door pin thing.

snaps.

the top comes off it.

now when the cars locked, the top of the door pin is flush with the door.

nothing to grip.

balls.

now, a story of lazeness. been like that 2 months and i havnt done anything about it....

(plus my gear stick thing is splitting at the top)

It just unscrews. if you really need to, you can take the door card of easily enough!
