Is there any difference between the 1.4 16v and the 6N Gti

Just wondering out of curiousity apart from the different alloy wheels are there any other differences between the 6n 1.4 16v and the 6n GTI that came out in Germany ?

The 6N GTI was a 1600 16v, like the 6N2, no?

yeah the gti was a 1.6 with 125bhp, and a better interior i think....

Yeh the 6n GTi only came out in Germany. Apart from the 1.6 16v engine, I think it had things like rear discs, abs and a slightly different interior.

Although some of these items were introduced on the last of the 6n 1.4 16v.

Yep I am the proud owner of an ABS fitted 6N 16v

Not sure about any interior differences, looks pretty standard. I don't have rear disc brakes either.

Sadly no 1.6 16v engine

The 6N GTI is actually listed as having 120PS and not 125PS as in the 6N2 GTI. What the difference is, I don't know but that is what's stated in the relevant brochures.
