Spotted on the TSN forum thread linked to this GB:
Also another thing - most (not all) of these quick shift kits put more pressure on the working parts when you change gear, given the fragility of some later polo and lupo gear boxes is this something that you would want to do.
Josh, you had one of these kits on your GTi - I'm guessing for more than a few months - any problems? In my eyes B&M's product quality is top drawer stuff, so I'm not expecting any issues with the quality of their gear, just wondered if anyone can shed some light on this?

Thanks

I don't think the quote has as issue with the quality of the B&M kit, more of an issue on the moving parts below the shift, i.e the gearbox. And how they might be affected.

P.s I'm with 'ttaw2' at the moment. Will need to check the price first before i commit. As there are a good few things higher up on the list than a short shift kit.

My mate has one of these fitted to his 106 GTi so i'm gonna try it out and compare it to another of my mates who has a 106 GTi without the short shift kit. So i'll let you's know how it compares.

I finally got round to calling JBS about this today.

They should have a price for me by Monday, so I'll keep you informed.

BTW, I had mine fitted for over a year without any problems.

It was fantastic!
