mk 4 gti - 138 mph
For a start!!
thats a polo dash (switch on the right of the binnacle)
the dials are GTi dials, (have warning lights in the round bits)
the stalk on the steering coloum is from a mk4, as on the mk5 it has the MFA button
an why is it fake?
a 1.4 16v will get to an indicated 130 so why cant a 1.6 16v with 150 hp ish (1.4 being 100bhp) do that speed?
plus account for speedo inaccuracy
My 16v speedo says my car is doing 120 when the car is actually doing 117

That is a real picture. fact.
Its a 6n Gti indeed. they DID get red dials and blue illumination. its definatly a 6n by the dash and stalks.
its definatly a gti as the steering wheels has red stitching on the leather.
1.4's can hit 125, and i tihnk my mates Gti gn2 made 135, with GPS in his car, found out the speedo is ony actually out by 5mph at true top speeds.
alot of people talk about speedo innacuratecy, but what people dont realise is that VW's especially the newer ones are actually quite very accurate, proven.
It's also not Mk4 turbo engine and clocks, as the clocks on them go to 250 kmh, i know this as i have a set downstairs to install.....
Theres no shadows, shake or decent reading because of the flash from the camera.
If its not possible for a std 6n2 to make quite that speed, i tihnk you'll find the 6n either could OR more likely, has been tuned and has the possibility of either, a different final ratio, or a Lupo 6 speed box, with std or better set up ratios.

My G40 with 123bhp (std but low mileage) would happily wind round to 135+ on the clock. I did once catch the rev needle past 6k in 5th but didn't look at the speedo to see where that was...anyway, as most GTIs seem to put out 135bhp (from rolling road resultes I've seen) and assuming the'ye aerodynamically similar to a 2f I should imagine that pic to be not faked.
I've got factory red-needled silver-faced clocks in mine. They do make it faster, honest

hmmm 221kmh divided by 1.6093 (km -> mile conversion factor accurate to 5sf - as much as you'll ever need) = 137mph
137mph / 6.9krpm = 19.9mph/1000
....which i'm fairly sure i've seen listed as a sporty mk4 ratio somewhere
and to be honest in a car that's got the kind of power even a regular 1.4 valver's supposed to have, i wouldn't settle for anything lower in top gear. certainly would want at least that in something capable of going over 120.
ps got indicated 106 out of a 1-litre mkiii, with a 17-18/1000 gearing
then again i bet i could make a pshop as clean as that with little trouble, and even with flash you can get some shake if the movement is a lot (i wouldnt attempt a shot without it over 60mph) - must have had well balanced wheels and a smooth road.
