This happens every year Gareth but theres usually plenty of time to run. You get everyone saying yeah I'll be there but not everyone actually turns up to run etc.
I will be testing new mods on a new car.

Nowt wrong with it, its just I would rather let someone such as Dan or Gareth run, as they have done far more to their cars than me, who is virtually running standard 1272 CL guise (other than an induction kit). So I pretty much expect results around the 55bhp mark.

Hey well if theres a space why not go on? I wouldnt mind putting the mk2 on the rollers at some point as well. :D

Steve sherwood who runs the pologt website does about a 400 mile round trip in his 1.0 mk2 (from plymouth) to put his car on the rollers. Last time he did it it got 43bhp iirc. :D so 55bhp is nowt ro be ashamed about.

suppose yomping some 1-litres on there is a good way to calibrate the rollers, if they cane it down and know they got a decent "typical" sustained top speed on a flat, windless bit of tarmac... then you can baseline them as around 45bhp at the fly ;)

when is it again? got the bug to give it a final fling before my temporary insurance runs out :D
especially if its with a new head gasket or something, gives me an excuse to run up and down the m'way a hundred miles or two to bed it in.

p1ssflaps, thats twice so far today there's been mention of action with it (previously, a bloke looking to buy but not having funds til NHS payday - i.e. the 26th)... and my temporary insurance runs out on the 25th!

worth extending it i guess, and selling it to him on monday sans modificlations if he's still interested :D
