Sheered bolt :/

Post by GroovyCarrot »

Hi, I sheered one of the bolts on my carb the other day, being a little over enthusiastic in re-attaching the air box (using a torque wrench because it happened to be the closest wrench at the time was perhaps a silly idea  ). Anyone know how to remove the bolts that hold the air box in place, or can anyone think of a way that I can bodge up a third attachment? There are no problems holding the box on with two bolts, it's still perfectly secure, I'd just like not to have to put the extra strain on the remaining bolts...

You can try a stud extractor but not sure how well it will work.
