im real gutted at the moment though, i hit a fallen tree this morning and just managed to avoid crashing into it....but it cracked my windscreen near the tax disk and left some nasty scratches down one side :(

luckily it didnt damage my new single wiper i had only put on last night!

mate, hope your ok, think your going to be visiting your sprayer reli! You may have a special windscreen cover on your insurance policy, i have to pay the excess on it but they pay the rest, they may even be able to sort out the crack depending on how bad. bet the single wiper looks the doggs!
where have you it parked? does it give a smooth sweep?

my polos not bad, purge kit going well and i have got a new k&n for it that is specially made for the mk5. it uses all the pipes etc and has few more clips. its kind of flat and wide instead of coneshapes. roars like a beast!

Had a puncture but got in mended, used ATS and i had seriously good service from them!

rear drums are creakin like mad, driving me up and over the walls! got to get them cleand lol.

only just had a £600 service for new brakes etc pitty they only changed the fronts!

hope all gos well with it dont panic mate about it it will all get sorted!

thanks the Lord :D you did not hit the tree!!

Hey Jon,

Could you supply a little bit more information about that K&N airfilter/induction kit please?

Really interested. I think i know what kind of a shape it is. It's slightly longer but it's still similar to a cone. Not sure though, definately want a look since i might be purchasing one soon for my car.

service

Post by jon_poloV »

nope they only did service, replace front pads and discs, and 2 new front tyres.
they did top job as per norm and cleaned my neons!

got rid of my bmc because they way i had it linked up was not very good, the pipe connectiong it to my engine was a bit dogy and i couldnt find a good reducing samco hose to use that would suit my needs, so in the end just went for the k and n.

hahah could there be any better sound?

Im sure everyone who has a decent air filter likes to accelerate slightly more than they would normally, just to hear some grunt, i know i do !!!

probably why i dont get a lot of miles to the full tank ! haha

I do reckon we should all film our cars and see what eachothers sound like though.
