Should the glovebox have a light?

Driving to work this morning in the dark, opened the glovebox to take out a CD and thought hmmm, no light, should I have one?

Aug 2004 Polo 1.9 Tdi Sport 5 door

there defo isnt one on the E petrol model, not sure on the sports model. check your handbook?

Nope you dont get one althought the cutout for one is there. You can install one easy enough if you get a light from a golf or something and just run it off the fag lighter or something.

nah i havent got one either... sport spec, about the same time as yours (june '04)

tho knowing what vw are like with changing spec... chances are if we bought a few months earlier/later we mightve got one!

I'm sure theres a guide to fitting one on the forum somewhere, but haven't managed to find it yet!

I dont have one either. Was well surpised.

I would deffo be interested in a how-to and group-buy.

I didn't have one, but fitted it with the same lens as in the boot. And a switch so it turned off and on when you opened it etc..

Can't remember how I did it but wasn't too hard.
