i timed mine at 17.3 on my stopwatch but then mine isnt stock. i probably could of got a bit quicker but it was just after i'd passed my test and still wasnt very good at pulling away in it- jumping form a 2l focus with everythiung in it to a 1.3 gt is a bit different!! i would of tried again but since then all my tyres have been s**t and pulling aweay wqithout wheelspinnging/losing a load of time slipping the clutch to stop the spinnig is mighty hard

it will always be different on a proper quarter mile track anyway. You should take EVERYTHING out before you do your run (spare wheel, tools, anything in the back etc). They always have a burnout area before you stage for the quarter where you can warm your tyres, which always helps. And the grip on the rubber covered track is phenomenal, you can usually get away even in a f/w/d car without much wheelspin at all. My pretty much standard 1275 Mini (with only a mild road cam and exhaust system) ran an 18.01 at Stratford Raceway, and never got near that on standard roads.

The idea was to strip it out anyway cos thats the way it'll be going on the road.
It's crail raceway im going to, so for all that know it the track certainly isnt the best.
If my Air filter arrives on time that will be on, and just now there is a hole in the exhaust, depending on how bad it is i'll either weld it or just make a full stainless decat. They will be the only engine mods on the car for this run. Although i hope i can get away with just welding the hole in the exhaust cos im struggling for time to get it on the road as it is.

i think nuttinnew's got it about right.
i had 16.something from my tuned gt. exhaust shouldnt matter to much as mine was missing from the end of the de-cat pipe (bugger snapped on the way up... :( )

After takin it for the MOT today, it doesnt have a hole in the zaust its just one of the brackets are slighlty out of place. I also need to turn the zuast round slightly cos its hitting off my gear linkage.

It failed the MOT, but not on much.

2 Front Tyres (now fixed)
Rear Drivers Wheel Bearing
Wipers didnt work (Now fixed)
2 Bulbs.
