Smoked Side Repeaters

Post by DelG40 »

Does anyone have smoked side repeaters for Mk3 Polo? If so, what you wanting for them with delivery to Aberdeenshire, Scotland? I'm not too keen on spending £15 + on a couple of pieces of plastic new.

just look on ebay/golf forums. They're identical as the ones fitted to mk1/2 golfs

DOH!!

Sorry Pettsy - for some reason I read side repeaters as indicators!!

Yeah - they're all the same - they even appeared on the Porsche 911 at one stage, as the ones I bought were advertised for Porsche.

@Gareth, yeah our mk2 doesn't have any cos it's so damn old!! I told you winter makes me stupid - unless it's just that I'm getting old!! :?

its an easy mistake to make, and side repeaters is such an ugly set of words. Doesnt exactly roll off the tongue does it? :P

There are some very cheap ones on ebay which I would steer clear of as you WILL break them if you ever have to take them off for some reason. The porsche style ones like steve just mentioned are much better quality and are nicer as well IMO. GSF sell replacement ones (ECP probably do as well) but theyre rather expensive at £17 for the set. Theyre reet good though, same colour as my GT. 8)

Here's some DIY smoked ones...

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... 49746&rd=1

Basically, they're rectangular with the bulb hole to one side - unlike the mk3 golf where the bulb hole is central.

These are the sort I went for and I haven't had any problems with condensation yet - which is a big problem for some of the cheapo ones!!

I paid a tenner for mine tho!!

Here ya go...

again - very heavily smoked/black

You can add Audi 80/90/100 to that list too - about the most used side repeaters I would say!!
