Fair enough like, he's put the effort in..... but i'd go with Josh's (as its the method i came to, independently) --- it uses the so-far tried and proven ImageShack host, and is a lot simpler. In fact I can summarise it here.
* Make your picture, be sure of where you've saved it.
* Go to
www.imageshack.us
* Press "browse" and find your file (select it and press OK)
* Hit "host it!" button
* wait.... dependent on file size and connection speed it could be anything from 5 seconds to several minutes (encouraging you to make smaller, 56k-friendly pics!)
* From the ever-expanding list of URLs that come up (already caught me out a couple times), choose the "display your picture on a message board" option.
Code: Select all
It's the one where the address is surrounded by [img] ... [/img] tags, but no [url] ... [/url] ones or other obvious "thumbnail" stuff.
* Select and copy it - a single click on the address should highlight the entire length, then just Ctrl-C (or Option-C/Apple-C, whatever it is on Macs)
* Go to the message you're writing and paste (Ctrl-V / etc) the fully formed image tag and address into it at the suitable point
* Repeat as neccessary for multiple pics (if you subscribe to them, you can have the option to upload several in a batch)
* Push Submit and relax back to enjoy the fruits of your labours
