Long time :(

Post by srbpower »

It is with sad news guys that the polo is no longer with me  really liked that little car 8) Sadly not crashed it or sold it err the bird and I have split up. To much work, no time for play if you know what I mean  So thats the end of my polo days... well untill I can afford one as a runabout 8)

Like to thank everyone for all the help I got from here 8) esp david burton 8)

One final thing, I have yet to fit the temp sensor to the polo. Same old story, no time and too busy. I need to sort this quick as I have about 10 minutes on saturday to change it while she grabs the last her stuff. Just wanna sort the car and leave things on good terms. So were abouts on the block is it, basically wanna jump straight in there and change it.

Cheers guys.

That's a shame mate. :(

As for your question; if you stand in front of the enginebay, look to the middle, then go right a bit, and down a bit. Take the distributor as a guide, it's more or less south east of that. Hope that helps.

Thanks mate, nice one. Just need to get in and out :) so don't have the time to start poking about looking for it. Yep its a real shame considering how long we were together. But thats life.

Although what I will say, is that I have been that impressed with the car. That I defo want one as a run about! Hopefully start looking in a month or two 8)

hi mate

no probs ;)

just underneath the distributor as Alex says, if you have the new type with the blue ring instead of the yellow, make sure the O-ring sits on the end of the new metal sensor - I put it on the middle of the black plastic when trying to match things up, and it's not the right place at all - and it leaks like crazy. i didn't drive it like that tho.

easy to spot the place - there are spaces for 2 sensors, and only one is occupied.

I'm going to turn jap one day, it's inevitable - i'll keep you in mind 8)

going jap   I might be tempted to bring the beast to one of your rolling road sessions once the new turbo, ecu, map etc are on and I'm pushing 450+

Cheers
