Post by louise_gt »

first of all, sorry if this has been asked b4 or if im posting in the wrong place.
i seem to be having petrol dripping from the fuel injection system and havent had chance to get a look at it yet so i was wondering if theres any usual problems to check first which could cause this,, its dripping quite bad and the fumes stink :( ,,thanks for any help,

ah, maybe its come off the mounting and loosened one of the fuel pipes. Get underneath and have a look at it.

I had fuel dribbling out of fuel pump a little while ago now. Turns out after inspection there was a pinhole leak in the pump body - caused by a coroding metal clamp around it. Bought a new pump, secured it. Job done.

You can see how mine was (and see how relative it is to your problem) by watching this video I made to show my dad offshore what was happening. http://www.auhi97.dsl.pipex.com/TEMP/fuelleak_nov04.wmv [file removed now] - right click, save as.

Don't know how handy it will be, but I thought I'd try help you out too.

problem sorted, the wee rubber thing thats on the mount was knackered therefore the whole thing was hanging right down,i fixed it up with a cable tie for the time being, but the leak was coming from where the fuel line goes onto the fuel pump due to the jubilee clip being totally rusted 8) , thanks for your help guys.
