Hey there is a recent thread somewhere on here, it can vary depending on where you are and where you take it and the service you take it in for.

Take for example, I took mine to a Central London dealer for a full 40k service and it cost me £280 whereas if I took it to a dealers up north, say Sheffield it would cost me just over £230.

Bes thing to ring round a few places and get some quotes.

My last VW dealer service was £157 - excluding the cost of replacing the cambelt, which was done a few months earlier under warranty. My next one is in May, the equivalent of the 70k service, although the car will have done less than 62k at that time... I think I've got a brake fluid change so I'm budgeting £250 and seeing what change I get out of it :|

Ok this surprised me when i collected the car...... I just had a 70k service done at my local VW dealer in Sheffield............ Grand total 76squid!!!!! I wondered at the time if they had charged the wrong price but i wasn't gonna say owt.

Also had my lowest ever receipt from a dealer the other week too........ Invoice read 42p !!!!!!!!!!!!! I bought two wheelnut covers for the BBS alloys.

Hey Cyhliu, how long you been a Landaner then????? Hope you got your jabs before you went down there......

Cheers

Dave,

Been a Southern Softie for just over a month now, ha ha ha, don't think I need any jabs but it seems like they have a different currency down here a pound doesn't seem to go as far down here than ooop north!

Loving it though...wish I moved down a lot earlier...just needed a job!

8 squid for a service? I can dream...
