Yeah, CBurns 17" rims look great on his Polo, I've 16" on mine and they fit fine, what you got to remember if you don't want any rubbing with 16" you need to get 195/40/16 tyres which are more expensive and are harder to get, only really four tyre manufacturers have tires in these sizes as it's really a conversion size. You may be able to get away with 195/45/16 but they may be some rubbing with people in the back.
If you stick with 15" rims then you will have more of a choice of tyres as you'll only need to get 195/45/15 and if you got all out like CBurns with the 17" you will most likely need to modify some of the inner arch by cutting some of the plastic.
As for the size you go for, it's really up to your personal choice...good luck.

bbs rx2 wheels
do you guys know where i can get those 16" BBS RX2 wheels carmadaaron shown on the photo, and how much will they cost?
Hello Vinau,
Those 16" BBS RXII Split-rims you enquired about only came on the late MkIII Golf Cabby IIRC so they are hard to come by, I guess I was lucky, looking at the right time and the right place. I bought them second hand so they are not in a great condition but I got them for £275.
Brand new, be expecting to pay around £1100 for a set of four...without tyres! I would suggest keeping your eye out for any sets. Don't get them confused with the 5 stud BBS Split rim RXII, these are more common as they came on MkIII and MkIV Golfs and the BBS RX which are not split rim. Good luck.

I did have 16 inch OZ superturismo on the car, as advised above better of running the 195/40/16 tyres, I run Pirelli P Zero Nero, very good tyre. I did have 195/45/16 but not as accurate on car for handling etc.
Superturismos did look good but needed refurb, replaced them with set 16 inch OZ Titans, looks excellent.
Try mytyres for 16 inch tyres this size, approx £65 a corner.
