I first buying a decent make of tyres - "cheap" ones are a false economy!!

They might be great tyres, but at a cheaper price.

Seconded, I know someone who had a blowout because of a set of cheap tyres.

I've had Falken 502s (came with alloys, crap in the wet, wear really quickly) Bridgestone Potenza RE720s (wicked tyres, great in any condition, hard wearing, reasonably priced and sadly out of production) and am currently running two Goodyear Eagle F1s on the back, to be matched on the front once the remaining Bridgestones wear out.

Can't comment much on the F1s as I only have 2 and haven't done much driving on them but they seem to be fairly similar to the Bridgestones performance wise.

Anyway, my point is that the F1s and 720s were about £15 extra per corner, and worth every penny.

Tyres are your one point of contact with the road, invest in good ones.

Yeah do change the tyres asap, last time I left it I could have had a seriouse accident, luckly the otherside of the road was clear otherwise I could have had a head on.
