when it rains it pours
anyways
following http://atsearch.autotrader.co.uk/WWW/ca ... ull=SEARCH link that someone posted on the last gti thread (despite looking at autotrader everyday for 2 months now)
i spotted one in stockport, not that far away
45,000 miles, black gti, red seat belts, red door cards, wheels look in good nick, runs well, drives well - its £5995
how much to get rid of red seat belts to black?
how much to get the door cards sorted to black and not red?
how much you reacon mj interiors will charge for general seat retrim to black?
(giving up on leather)
2 things did bother me as well. when i tried the headlights on wash wipe and the crazy headlight washers popped out and washed the lights, they didnt pop back in - the garage of course said they'd sort it, and they should - is this common? easy to fix? or total pain in the arse?
(if easy, thinking I'll take it for a cash drop and get it sorted myself)
and there was a squeak from the front left, i think pad rubbing on disk - something they better sort out
hmm
might end up driving home in this tommorow night lol
right, another polo gti, this time black

red trim can be easily taken out, just need to buy some black or grey bits off ebay, seat belts give a racy feel dont u think?
squeeky brakes are on all polos ive driven
common problem..... discs all round in the GTI?

You see 13Twelve, the red seat belts are in demand and I have to say I've not seen many GTIs with them, I think you should stick with them! (Sorry Del_GTi!)
Dude, you want a custom made bespoke car don't you? ha ha ha, just get the car, it's black which is your primary concern and then live with the red seat belts and door cards and theymight grow on you...admittedly the red door cards can get a little scruffy after a while and then maybe get them changed/retrimmed!
Not heard many people having problems with the headlight washers, they should go back in but if they are willing to fit it then damn right they should! and make sure that give you a warranty on the work, I can't see it being cheap should it fail again after you've bought it!
Good luck!
