Polo Club Sport

Post by jimmadee »

Have any Polo Club Sports been imported to the UK?

http://www.volkswagen-individual.de

Thinking about crazy projects down the pub - how about respray of a normal gti , source the recaros and roll cage.

Funky!

What do you lot think?

Just had a butchers at the link you just posted CarMadAaron,

That is a very nice Polo, not very practical, can't fit the dog in (actually you can, and tie it to the roll cage! ha ha ha, thats so cruel!).

Not sure about the colour, I like yellow on cars but I would never own one strangely! Do they do one in black...now I'd be interested!

You could get a respray in R32 deep blue, that'd be beautiful 8)

Shame that VW never offered a limited production run in the UK, maybe they felt that there wouldn't be the market for a high-performance Polo 9n?

Regarding the respray of a normal Polo 6n2 GTi, well you'd have the only citrus yellow GTi in the UK methinks! Ford did a similar colour for the limited edition Mondeo a good few years back, a local pub landlord drives one - the colour is... unique

cool , thanks a lot for the links.

Not cheap! , I think a GTI conversion would be the best bet.

Leave the engine as a 1.6 , mabey a bit of a tune up.

Seats should be easy to get hold of ? , the roll cage looks custom - could prove tricky and costly on the insurance!

Time to talk a few places about the idea. ( designadubs is just up the road from me )

Mabey I'll just source a GTI with fabric seats , replace them with recaros - remove the back seats. Lower 30mm , uprated shocks and a respray.

I guess the car should not have side airbags? , these are in the seats right.

Quite like the stock BBS wheels.

Does all the above sound possible GTI people? , i've had a MK3 for the last couple of years - so bit behind on all this modern tech.

YES good idea! that man - I was thinking baby blue or green.

My budget is fairly tight , but the way I see it - I can go out an by an a3 or go create a one off. 8) Just a concept at the moment - but I have to purchase a car asap - so I think it will be a gti to get cracking on.
