Help insurance nightmare

Post by metz »

As usual..i'm confused...

i own a 1043 polo saloon 1991...it has a gt 1272 engine in it..get engine number fill in log book send off...

But what the hell do i put when getting insurance quotes? I can't put 1272 saloon as thats not got a GT engine in it and should i ever have to make a claim i dont want the company saying my insurance is void cos i didnt declare the gt engine.

I'm lost and confused someone please show me the way..

check the back of PVW or Golf + etc.

i did yesterday and rang round... flux knocked off £120 from a tesco quote and Greenlight weren't too far behind them....

try HIC as well, again you'll have to phone though.

It's worth mentioning as many owners clubs as you can. I think it makes you look more like a proper enthusiast who cares for the car, rather than a boyracer who just wants a faster car to hoon around on the roads.

i mentioned www.matey-matey.com - they have a banner on their site about 15% off with flux...

and also mentioned about going to shows etc. seemed genuinely interested and like its been said, makes you sound like an enthusiast!
