How dare you question the supreme knowledge of Speedlaw! ha ha ha!

Yeah, on mine they were 195/45 R15. I'm not sure why you would want to go for a fuller profile...

You can put whatever height tyre on you like - 195/65 15 will fit the rim no problems - just the wheel won't fit on a polo.

I'm sure the m8 means along with changing the rhims....

Like, how big a wheel will fit the arches....

He asked about "standard BBS's" so I'm guessing he means the OEM wheels.

And, yes I'm sure.

excellent, cheers speedlaw!

the reason i'm asking is because my brother bought his gti from a VAG garage but it came with a set of 15" TSW's on it which were the wrong offset so when he changed his tyres for the 50's instead of 45's (i still don't see the point myself) the front rubbed on full lock and the back end scuffed the inner arch. But it failed an mot because of the offset so we went round and told the garage about the problem. So being a garage they tried every trick in the book to wriggle out of it so in the end they're buying him a new set of the standard BBS's!! not bad really. new wheels and 4 new tyres(probably cheap sh*t tho)

they are on the car!! away to pick it up at 3pm.

What are the tell tail signs of replica's?? do the bbs's have markings on the wheels or anything like that?

I don't think he'll be too fussed even if they turn out to be fake because they'll look a damned sight better than the TSW crap that were on it!
