A bit of a result

Post by dxg »

(No, I haven't found a job yet)

But I have discovered that the maintenance agreement you can get with VW finance covers tyres and wipers!

I'd been assuming it was only servicing and you still had to pay for consumables.

Result!

Now, I just need to find out if they'll still cover it, as I paid the finance off early, but never cancelled the maintenance direct debit. Hmmm...

Deek.

Did you take out the option of tyres though when you did it? They split it up the service, tyres, and something else i can't remember right now.

Er?

Haven't a clue! I guess I'll find out when I get there. To be honest, I'm more worried about having to go to National Tyres - I fear for my alloys and had hoped that the dealers would either have their own machine or a trusted fitter, but it doesn't seem to be the case.

If it turns out that I'm not covered, then I'll just stick it into the dealer and get them to sort it out. It won't be the cheapest way of doing it, but at least they're then carrying the risk of damage.

As a side note, it's hit 12.5k miles, the backs are still have about 4-5mm all over, but the fronts only have a mm or so on the outside edges - would definately fail an MOT. That'll be all that throwing it round corners, then!

Deek.
