you can't take one off another car you will have to buy a remote servo.TBH I can't see why you need a servo on such a little car, the only mk2 polo's to have servo brakes as standard were lhd ones I've drove one and it makes very little differance to the brake performance.Plus if you where to fit a servo you would also have to modify the inlet manifoldPolo-vixen wrote:<snip>If so what car would i need to get the servo off?>

Not a direct one, no.. unfortunately there's no room for it on right hand drive models (mk3's had to have a redesigned bulkhead to fit it, and even then it's still a small one). I believe you can get a remote servo from a mini or something, that you run a brake line to from your existing master cylinder, then the servo can be mounted on the other side of the bulkhead where there's space for it from the LHD models. It will need some creativity with the brake lines though.. if you've not done anything with them before I'd suggest asking a mechanic about it because that's the kind of thing that you really can't afford to get wrong

It's not really a problem in normal driving, but I tend to notice that if I cram five people into the car (I regularly do, hence considering something with five doors and more than half an inch of legroom atm..) then you really need to put some force behind the brakes to slow down at a reasonable rate, especially if I'm doing over about 55mph. A bit of assistance in that scenario would be very welcome.ste mk1lx wrote:TBH I can't see why you need a servo on such a little car, the only mk2 polo's to have servo brakes as standard were lhd ones I've drove one and it makes very little differance to the brake performance.
