Registration valuations
I typed my registration number (C576 JOB) into the free valuation box on www.regtransfers.co.uk last week, and they sent me a valuation of £600 (!) - this doesn't seem right to me, I was suprised they gave me a quote at all. Anyone sold their reg before and know of any kind of catch this might contain? They did say that's the net amount they'd return to me..

Re: Registration valuations
It's their std reply - they don't buy it of you - just advertise it on your behalf and take a cut on any sale - They also advertise numbers not for sale too - A friends car has a nice plate on it and I asked him why it was up for sale on regtransfers - it isn't!!!!GroovyCarrot wrote:I typed my registration number (C576 JOB) into the free valuation box on www.regtransfers.co.uk last week, and they sent me a valuation of £600 (!) - this doesn't seem right to me, I was suprised they gave me a quote at all. Oh and they also advertise numbers listed on DVLA website for sale - at a 100% mark up plus transfer fees!!!
R16GSL - thats on the Polo I have was advertised on regtransfers for £695 plus £80 transfer fee...... As you can guess I bought from DVLA for £250 including the £80 transfer fee...... Nice easy earner if people can't be bothered to look on the DVLA site
