What happened to it being based on the Skoda Tudor concept? Not sure I like this -- the swage lines aren't doing it for me... :?

Plus, four doors? Eh?

Deek.

If that comes out badged a Corrado, we should start a campaign to get them all debadged.

That is one ugly mofo.

that is one rubbish looking car

I'll lose my faith in VW if they market that thing as a new Corrado

I wouldn't have a problem with it (apart from maybe that weird line across the doors..) if they were to market that as a saloon of some sort, it's just there's nothing even remotely sporty about it! Completely ruins the image of the corrado. Hopefully they'll see sense before it actually goes into production

If released, it can only further improve the already excellent reputation and credibility of the original youthful classic  One word - awful IMHO.

IF thats a genuine pic, where along the design process did the brief "3 door golf-based SPORTS coupe" get forgotten?
far too high off the ground for one thing.

PS "the current trend for rear-hinged rear doors"??? Um, well, I've seen the Mazda RX-8 sporting them - less doors, more like flaps to extend the aperture of the main door - have we seen these somewhere else recently then?

I'm sure if VW developed this concept further it'd make an interesting four-seater coupe... but not a Corrado!

As for suicide doors Tahrey, well I've seen them on a Corsa  but apart from the RX-8... the next-gen Mini Clubman variant is possibly going to be on the receiving end if reports are true... although Auto Express's photoshops are getting more and more unlikely...

on a corsa? you sure?

it'd be a fitting cost-cutting maneuver and anti-safety move, of course
