Elephant's quotes, for me at least, are sky high!!carmadaaron wrote:elephant wont insure meGTI NUT wrote:Hi, try elephant they are competitive with their quotes![]()
I'm with Direct Line too, although a little older at 23 (nearly 24) with 5yrs NCB. £500 fully comprehensive, with a named driver (my Mum!) and protected NCB. Both these extras have added £100 to the quote, so would have been more like £400! Direct Line have great cover, great legal assistance if you need it and are really helpful IMO. Only one downside... they don't like to insure modified rides until you're over 25!
i'm 19! i pay £1200 under my mum!
coilovers ~ i'm running SPAX RSX -75mm
Engine ~ BMC induction kit seems to be the one everybody goes for. works really well and sounds great! forget everything else, just save up for NOS!
Brakes ~ good luck if you want anything bigger than you've got! a good set of pads and rotors sort them
buy a GTi, its one of the best things i've done since i passed my test!
