With my polo I have probs but I still love it. I saved up for 2 years for it and apart from some niggly issues I love it.
When I look at it I know its a pretty rare car, it has the original GTi look - lots of sublte little modifications and details, nothing too over the top or in your face. As for the interior I havn't come accross a car with a better dash, l love the blue glow and the red illuminated switches. Can't wait till it gets dark sometimes.
As for extras, the only thing it doesn't have which I would like is cruise control (and that can be added). For the size of car nothing comes close feature wise.
I'm not trying to sway you, but if you ever owned a Polo GTi you would understand. I dont know what car im going to get after this which can complete with the features/look and feel of the car without costing me the earth.
new person here!
im sure the polo itself is a good car bt the gti seems to have its downsides and i need a car with solid reliability, in the short period ive been here ive heard of:
cambelts going early
gearbox problems
clutch problems
corroding alloys
plus other little bits, im sure its a good car but ive had sum dodgy luck with things going wrong on cars so cant take the chance.
i dont know if u peeps kno but the 2001 seat ibiza 1.6 sport, apparently its the same platform but does it share the same engine as the polo gti? cos if it has differnt parts ill look into the seat too
cheers
