You can buy one of those (LHD tho) in Brazil for about £200. A restored one would set you back about £2000, with a brand-new engine (aircooled 1600cm³).

a lad who i work with has just bought one for 8k! :shock:

apparently his was one of only 1000 made, and only a few known to be in the uk. running some porsche cookie cutter rims,porsche engine bits and pieces and come big fat carbs (maybe twin 40/45's)

Its basically a splittie at the front, then what looks like a caravan stuck on the back.Will get some pics of it. im not a big aircooled fan but his looks propper nice :lol:

they are worth a fair amount, splitties are quite rare in a good condition! would love a samba splitty! loadsa windows and looks so cool! 8)

I've seen a bare shell with no paint, no wheels, no engine, no interior, some windows and some patches rust for sale at over £4000.

It sold too. :shock:
