Sunglasses holder

As part of my most recent delivery from VAGParts I ordered a sunglasses holder to replace the driver's side grab handle above the door

Am I right in believing that when I fit this holder I need to re-use the two screws that hold the grab handle in place? I think I read somewhere, a good few months ago, that the screws supplied with the holder are too long?

Can someone put me right here? Ta

Latest estimate for getting my Polo back is now Wednesday as the replacment bumper/numberplate etc only arrived yesterday... can't come soon enough

I can't remember which screws are the longest, but just use the shorter pair of them when you take off the handle!

If you're really worried poke a bit of wire through the hole to measure the distance you have.

yes only use the screws that you take out, i did this and had no problems...

a mate of mine used the longer ones and put one right through the roof of his ibiza!

just tighten them slowly mate!

I'm sure I read somewhere that someone had posted to use the ones with the holder when you get it but when I got mine the screws were well long and so I thought sod it I'll use the ones already with the handle...lasted me over a year now problem...I thought the longer screws would go through the roof. Nice little mod, just remember to take your sunglasses out when you need them...I keep forgetting mine are in there! doh!
