Clutch symptons

Can anyone tell me what the symptons are when the clutch is on the way out. Just doesn't feel right at all, there is play in the clutch before i get any resistance but the car either judders or the revs shoot up when i get to the biting point. The car just got the recall done four weeks ago, then it went two weeks later and was told it was some bolts. Slackened off again and was told it was the securing rods but now it's went all slack again.

Any ideas anyone

My GTI has been the same for the last year, so you are not alone

I would be interested to know what the problem is though as I don't think that 57k is the sort of mileage to be replacing a clutch

Ours only has 42k on it. Doing my head in, i feel like just dropping it at dealers and telling them to take it back. They haven't been much help at all

Mine was from a non franchised dealer and the warranty has run out. If yours is still under warranty, I would take it straight back

Yeh they have one more chance with it. I,m going to leave it with them until it's sorted once and for all.
