Good evening.!

Thought i would say hi. Just bought a 2000 W plate Polo Gti, in Silver.
(just sold my 306 TD..sod the economy..)

It is totally standard, has full VW history and has 44k on the clock.

Im planning a few bits for it.

What springs are best? i was thinking Eibach

Has anyone else got corroded wheels? mine is under the lacquer.

What zoorst is best to go 4? im thinkin just a backbox.

ive had two polos and a lupo before, all 1.4 16v models, so this is the step up ive always promised myself.

Nice to be on the forum..hopefully u guys can help me sort my motor out!! :D

by the way, i work for German and Swedish, so i have access to a VW microfische, and i get discounted parts, so be nice to me...

Bonjour mon ami (dunno why the French but welcome anyhow!).

Glad to hear another GTI owner, I'm sure you will enjoy your car like I do mine. I'm sure the other members on here will provide much useful information and advice.

As for the lowering springs, I've got Eibach Sportline ones and they do the job for me (they lower 40mm), obviously if money is not a problem then go to coilies.

Corroded rims, unfortunately a common problem with these rims, you can have them refurbished, there are a few places that will do them, if you are interested I can give you the number for the place that are doing mine currently.

As for an exhaust, I wouldn't be able to advise on that as I still have my standard one on...

I'm sure the discounted parts and readily accessible VW microfiche will come in very handy...heh heh heh (evil laugh!)
