What did you strip out to get the wet weight down to 990?

The Mk4 is lighter, which is what makes the largest difference. Put a GTi engine on a skateboard and your 1/4 mile will be pretty swift.

Just about everything except the dash and front seats!! You get it a lot lighter if you really tried!!

Yeah, but aggressive, so I should be able to get good 0-60 times too.

I can get any car to do 0 - 60 in 2.7 Seconds. Its easy.

No, you see, the way I see it is this.

60Mph ~ 27 m/s, so

27 / g = 2.7

Where g = gravity

Actually, I was just pondering whether it is possible to accelerate faster than that in a wheel driven car.... ? (ignoring downforce)

You could always glue an army surplus sidewinder to the roof.
