vw fox

Post by 1litreheater »

Whats every think of the new vw vw fox, coming to the UK in 2006, i personally dont like it one bit and theres not exactly a space in the market for it ! surely the small vw market is taken up by the ever increasingly popular polo and lupo !
Comments !
(i saw it in the June issue of VW performance !

There are some postings with some modified examples on here somewhere and they do look pretty damn sweet slammed with some nice rims!

well the production of the lupo is being stopped in favour of it, so its effectively a replacement (kind of like replacing the cinque/seiscento with the panda..?)... though i do agree it's a slightly shrunk 3-door polo (same chassis/wheelbase), and a bit hard to find a niche for it in it's own right other than for people who thing a porka 3-door is somehow too large but they dont want to settle for a smart, or any other small 3 door car.....

wierd...

the most bizarre thing being it's history as a model in its own right (with no polo / lupo competitor) in south america and somehow spreading from there.

if only they were to try to sell it in the USA :D which was once a plan (they once had a "fox" model there, though it was more of a 3-door jetta with a longitudinal engine..) ... course thats now dropped by the wayside. Wonder if they were going to slap a saloon boot on it?
