what do you think i should do????

Post by Loonball »

My insurance is due....

...my best quote is £426 with a company but i need to tell them everytime i do a mod to my car and they will charge me a relevant additional premium to the mod i have done and an administration charge

my quote with my current insurance company is £624 and i can do as many mods as i like upto 150bhp and just tell them when i do them with no additional charge...

Should i tell the first company all the mods and just not do any for a year, or should i stay with my current insurance knowing that if i do need to do any mods i wont be charged???

i would stay with my current one.

edit: police are getting very tight on declared mods in my area, even threatening to ring up individual companies and check if mods are declared

but once she's finished in a few weeks i doubt i'll be doing anymore mods for a year, i'll probs only be able to maintain her (£££....)

and it is quite a big difference in price between the two. i think if there was a difference of about £50-100 i might not dispute it. but £200 is quite a lot of money

but i am happy with my current insurers

Ask the cheaper insurers how much they're willing to insure and how much it'll set you back. If you're doing everything within the next two weeks, then just declare it all in one go and avoid all the admin charges...

THE MIGHTY BRENTACRE, they are mint. run by VW enthusiasts...if you ring them speak to John, he knows what your talking about...the quote i got from them is still cheap compaired to last year so it worries me that the other company are offering £200 less??? I am sceptical!
