Took the Polo badge off last week and also split the VW badge and colour coded it. Was gonna buy a Passat badge(smaller) but thought id give this a try 1st.
Whadya think?

If it is an exact colour match as it looks in the pic, then Top Bombing (or Painting as the case may be).
If not then i wud stick with the black.
At least you've tryed tho mate. Respect to that!

Ive been thinking of doind this with the black VW badge Ive got and clour coding the background to the Black Pearl colour of my car.
Reckon it will look a bit black?
How did you seperate teh bage and the rubber, when Ive tried it it feels like Im gonna break it!

The back of your polo is identical to mine minus the tints. de-badge polo aero wiper and colour coded badge!

I done this to mine looks really good when done! the arsehole thing was getin the bloody badge off would it come off would it eck!

I resized the pic as was a bit massive.
It was done with a spray can,Satin Silver from Halfords. I used various grades of wet and dry to get a nice smooth finish as the black bit on the badge has a kind of dimpled effect.
To seperate the badge i carefully drilled out the plastic rivets. and used hot glue to re-assemble.

I had the normal badge painted, but now I have the passat 1 painted I think it looks better!! On the silver cars its shows up really well. looks good!

I've had mine colour-coded as well and it does look black, sometimes almost debadged but I like it!
Would post some photos, may be later after I've washed the car if you are interested.
