As for the gull-winged model shown by CAR a few months ago, it kinda reminded me of that little 3-wheeled, gull-wing'd prototype that VW presented in the 1980s... I think it was called the Scooter.

Anyways... I was trying to find a VERY old MOTOR3 magazine from 1986 I think, that had a full feature with that car. MOTOR3 hasn't been published since January 1988, but it did publish a full test with the 'Scooter' some time around '86-'87, the reporter having actually driven the car in autobahns and stuff.

I don't think that CAR sketch will ever go beyond, say, what the Scooter was. Simply unfeasible, and quite pointless. Just picture yourself trying to open the door in a crowded hypermarket parking lot...

THat's my 2p on this issue.
