Sweet mate.
It seems everyones struggling with the TA Technix kits at the moment. I was informed they were out of stock throughout most of Germany. So not a good time to buy coiolvers right now! typical

Yeah, they took the p*** to get here, but they are pretty damn good coilovers for the money and the ride is sweet, how a gti should be in my opinion.
I would recommend these coilovers to everyone, but its just a shame about the waiting period

Changed the badge on the back, because i thought it was just a little too big and stuck out too far.
I have replaced it with a polyurathane resin domed bubble badge which i think looks a lot nicer and sits flush in the badge recess.
Ignore the polish on the top of the badge that i was too lazy to get off
I can get hold of these badges for £7.99 posted if anyone is interested.
They are waterproof, scratch proof and non-fading with self adhesive backing.
PM me your details if you want one.

I finally got hold of some new mats that fit perfect with the original fixing studs
My old mats kept sliding under the pedals because the did not clip onto the studs.
Not sure which company i bought them off as i gt them at GTI International (I only just had them as a birthday present)

Got a viper induction kit for nothing of one of my mates
All i had to buy was the samco hose from the trottle body to the induction kit itself.

What's it like sound/performance mate?

It has a nice burble between 2-3k, so if your not flooring it can sound quite nice, between 3-4 there is nothing sound wise really and as soon as the cams change position after 4k it roars nicely.
I think its more responsive, but its difficult to say because of the extra noise, its definately not 10bhp thats for sure, but it does feel a lot smoother.
Best thing is, i still got 320 miles off 39 litres, so it doesnt drink the petrol by having it on
I would recommend one, i'm just worried about the rain and puddles as i have heard some horror stories about water getting into the throttle body etc. (I'm just going to relocate the pipe to a new location i think.

It will be absolutely fine where it is currently (in that pic)

The only problem i have got is with the wheel arch lining, when i had it lowered it rubbed a masive hole in it, which lets the water in.
The rain was particularly bad last night and i moved the pipe to check and it has traces of water in it
I will remove the wheel arch lining all together (if its an easy enough job) and put some duct tape over the hole and see if that makes a difference or not.
Since i have swapped the tyres from 195/50's to 195/45's, the car hasnt scrubbed once, so i am on the hunt for a wheel arch lining now.

Yeh once you've changed your arch lining you'll be fine.
Just ring a few scrappies for one.
