Habib_123,
In reference to the images you sent me by private message, and because you remembered  ... that you had damaged the BCM terminal and had to solder/splice a new wire because you did not have the proper terminals.
Check the following

Any more mystery we need to know to help you better?

There are many reasons for your heated seats don't work:

- Bad electrical installation. Solders in the electrical installation (it is better to use insulated terminals)
- Control module (used, no brand new)
- BCM (consumption limits)--> heating elements from Skoda (resistors in paralell). But... viewtopic.php?f=56&t=63942#p509541
iichel wrote:it is to switch off the seat heating when the BCM needs to (ie too high power use, engine not running)
iichel, do you want to do a test? (For new discoveries)
In BCM adaptation channel 63, change the value from 21 to 0. Check if your heated seats work after changing this value. :?:

I will order a brand new heated control module and see if that fixes it. Also would you know what connector i need for the wire to BCM? I will sort all electrical connections out. However, the solder looks perfectly done.

EXTRA:

On a side note. Just to see what would happen, after plugging in the kufatec white connector into the black adapter (1J0 972 712). I got both cables (000 979 129) and connected them straight to the heated pads cables. I removed the red connector (i thought only this is causing the problem nothing else).

After doing that, passenger side worked perfectly. However, the button would still not work but when the car was fully on the seat would get really hot!! So I knew it worked. The only way to turn seat heating off was to disconnect the kufatec white connector.

But, i did not like this way because i wanted to turn it on/off using the button. (New mystery ciclo)

I am not sure whether the module is faulty. I would not change it until we have good reason to believe it's the problem.

Habib, can you tell us how you connected the heated pads to the T2 connector. Are they parallel (every pad connects independently to T2) or are they in series (one after the other).

I tried to make it with Paint (well Preview):

Image

The reason I ask is it makes a lot of difference.

Resistance R is measured in Ohms, as dicated by Ohms law. That's not very interesting in principle, but it matters for the total resistance.
The control module measures total resistance, if it's either too low or too high, it will show the behaviour that you see.
Parallel: Rtot = R1 + R2
Seral: 1/Rtot = 1/R1 + 1/R2

Rtot = total resistance of two pads
R1 = resistance of heating element in the backrest
R2 = resistance of heating element in the sitting area

In the Polo 6R they must be serial, as on the right.

I will check channel 63 of my BCM, will report back. I will also measure the resistance.

Edit 12:45 CET

So I tried to change channel 63 with ODIS, I left my VCDS cable at my parents. Didn't work, marginal conditions not met. I'm sorry for this.

Measured the resistance of the heating pads, should be around 2.4 ohms.

Improvised tool with OEM connector

Image

Left and right hand side seats (disconnected the connector from the car, inserted tool, measured the resistance on the white connector of the car. In case of habib it's black.

Quick reality check.

Ohms law:
R = U/I
P = U * I

2.4 ohms at 12V is around 5 amps.
5 amps at 12V is around 60W. makes sense.

You must use the appropriate connectors. Terminals should be isolated from each other.

Which connectors do I need?

No one is born knowing ... but it is necessary to have some basic knowledge about electricity to work with cables.
Do things correctly and everything will work as it should.

Update:

Heated seats fully work with buttons. However driver button activates passenger seat and passenger button activates driver seat. I need to switch the cables around

However it is good i went through all this trouble. The next person to follow this thread should not have ANY problems.

Big thanks to ciclo and iicel. Without them it would have not been possible. :D 8)

Very good to hear, thank you for the feedback. I'm curious to where it went wrong. But I'm very happy for you. Good job!

It is very clear iichel, the electrical installation was a disaster in elementary things.
Btw, thank you for your cooperation, effort and willingness to help at any time. 8) (I know it's not necessary to comment but ... 8) )

Thanks to you for all the effort you've made. In this way it is clear that we can have good times even if the questioner has limited information/knowledge of what he is doing. :)

By the way, and this is very important to me, what value do you currently have on BCM adaptation channel 63?
habib_123 wrote: The next person to follow this thread should not have ANY problems.
Probably, but the most important thing is that you do your next mod correctly if you use wires.

:?:  viewtopic.php?f=56&t=58703&start=540#p483992
I give you the wiring if it is your next modification, with two conditions  :
- You pay shipping costs (10 €)
- You have to take pictures of the hood/bonnet area by the places where the cables run in 6R RHD. (like in the tutorial)
