Had a test drive today and boy was it fun, guy just handed me the keys and said take her for a spin and bring it back in one piece so off i went....really nice car, although its one of the earliest models with out the CD auto changer and leather steering wheel, think im gonna buy it, just got to get the steeler down on the price now

I have finally bought one its mercato blue and i pick it up thursday and i cant wait, piccs shortly.

Had a look at your car in the members rides section, looks really nice, I love the colour bit different from all the black and silver examples.
I also have a 52 plate tdi 100 sport, also lacking a leather steering wheel!

This one has a leather steering wheel and CD auto changer which the black one i was going to buy didnt have. really happy tho.
cant wait to drive it some more.

what mods do people recon then, chrome grill is one of the first i think, also going to delock and im having it remaped to 150bhp ish. Might go for some 16" montreal alloys as well.

The car's sweet Dave - the Mercato blue was a good call (and I'm not just saying that because mine's Mercato as well!)
If you do swap your wheels out with some Montreals or other alloys, I'd be interested in the stock 15's that are on there at the moment. Bear me in mind!

I like the barcelonas as well, wait till i get some cash first tho. small mods first. Anyone know if a set of Golf R32 floor mats would fit the 9n?

Who do you have in mind for the remapping? Ive looked into Tuneit and Revo, I want a remap which will allow me to switch back to standard.
Let me know how you get on, performance benefits etc.

My uncle is into engine management and the like, he has vag com and thinks he can get 150bhp out of it but i have looked into revo as like you said you can switch back.........the body work on my polo still isnt ready so they have lent me a new Golf sport which is pritty nippy but i want my car. Hopefully i will get it back this week tho.
