Yep, they work briliantly! Much better than normal wipers.
And the "fan" washer spray is prety cool too

Fan washer jets? I thought mine already had a fan-like-spray... How does that work then?

(Defintely going for the new wipers now, won't be easy though)

Perhaps I should have made the wiper blade part a bit clearer, heh heh

My car is a factory built JUne 2002 model. I do have the front new style wiper blades, but on the newest UK models the REAR wiper blade is now also the new rubber type instead of the crappy old metal type, i'll get some pictures when my new blade comes off Back Order

I believe the new rear blade is on cars December 2002>> .

I believe Spartstack has the newest Polo on here, perhaps he has the blade and can post some pictures?

I have decided not to go for the ECU as I don't want to lose the warranty, but it was a nice idea while it lasted

You might have them already, it's just the first time I have seen them

On my mum and dads car, they have just 1 "jet" of water hitting the windsreen, on mine it spreads out, in a fan shape.

Hard to explain!

Nelson, oh the rear!! That's not fair.
Do you have the part no.s of the bits you ordered, and also a price?
If it supposed to be an easy, remove old, fit new, job?

Well we did have a nice talk about them eh!

I think I know what you mean, my dad's boat (Camry) has 3 seperate jets of water coming from one place, but my Polo somehow fades the seperate jets together to make a nicely fanned spray.

the fan system is on the mk5`s too its kinda like the different hose settings you can get with a garden sprey
jet
fan
mist etc
so instead of all the water coming out in a single line like a dot . it comes out in a line -------ps the jets on a mk5 are hidden under the trailing edge of the bonnet

Yeah, I do like the 'fan' shape washer jets. Shame my rear one isn't the same, it always JUST misses the top part of the screen

)

I have been told by my VW dealership the new arm/blade should fit no problem, but the wiper motor itself is also different (don't know how though) so I'd advise you all to wait to see if it fits mine first (can't wait

)

The total cost for the arm, blade and cap is less than Â£20.00!! A nice and cheap mod if it works

and its just a simple 'bolt on' job.

I'll post pictures before/after when I get it fitted.

Sorry Nelson, ours is the standard "old fashioned" metal type on the back. It works though, which is more than can be said for the ones on the front. They are already missing sections on the windscreen

Not good Nelson, Im waiting for you to try it before I order one, but the sonner I order one the quicker I will get it if I have to wait ages like you.

sparkstack, strange, fronts work fine, rear works but the spray doesn't reach the top
