Also changed my wheels the day i bought the car as the bbs where knackered, sitting in the garage gathering dust now:P

It should have them as standard, that's why the GTi has a 6.5L washer bottle.

mine dont seen to work,well i dont think they do,if u pull on the they lift up from the bumper

I take it there's plenty of water in the bottle?

And, I don't want to make you sound stupid here but... You are squirting the screen with the lights on? They only work with the lights on when you spray the windscreen, you should hear them and just about make out the water at the edge of the bonnet.

Yeah, but they need a bit of a referb and prob 2 new tyres as the tracking was out and there a bit bald cos of that.
interested in trying to get these working now :roll:

ye i think that is the only diff realy, and isnt there a diff between air con and climate control??

i wouldnt touch one without headlight washers unless i knew for a fact they had been smoothed out. and dont you have to have washers for xenons?

air con only provides cold air doesnt it?

if there are no washers, theres no xenons

The difference between air-con and climate control, is that climate control does what the name implies. It actually monitors the interior temperature etc, and adjusts the cooling/heating to keep it to the temperature you set.

Manual air-con means you have to choose whether to make the temperature hotter or colder to suit your preference.

And as stated above, just because it doesn't have washers, does not mean it won't have xenons.

the GTI's with xenons had the washers, from what everyones said xenons were standard on the GTI's.... i checked with VW regarding them as i didnt think they worked when i bough the car........turns out i just didnt know 'how' they worked

AFAIK all GTi's made had Xenons.
