Not too sure, don't think it's a massive company though.

You just need to either ring them and speak to Martyn (who iirc is the manager) or drop him an e-mail as Bstardchild has said.
I'm sure you'll get some form of apology then

Out of Curiosity do you or anyone know how many folk roughly work there ?
Last time I spoke to Martyn I think 4 was the number he mentioned
Martin and 2 others in orders plus one one guy who can wrap stuff for England and win prizes!!!
Some of the stuff I've bought has been very fragile and it's always arrived unbroken
They serve an awfull lot of VAG forums and I think Martyn would be horrified if your experience was "normal"
It's so unlike the service they have always provided to me that I'm amazed!!! Please don't assume from that that I don't believe you either - just that it's amazing to think anyone in a customer facing enviroment would speak like that!!

Like my last order, took me about 10 minutes to unwrap and that was with a knife

I know doubt in any way that there service would be good etc in delivering stuff well wrapped etc, but it was the way the person spoke, and not remembering to put me on hold, weather deliberate or not i dont know !

yeah this would p!ss me off majorly because its like of all the places you could have gone youve chosen to give them your business and all they do is make out like your business is a joke. Id send them an email with no demands or rants or swearing, just simply stating what happened and how you won't be using their service again.
Its like this time i got some work done on my car at this garage and the guy was really rude and made out like i was a complete idiot. The fact that they did a cracking job at a reasonable price makes no difference, id rather spend the extra £10 at a garage where ill be greeted with "alrite mate" than go back there.

i know wat u mean, being a sales assistant i know about good customer service, slagging people of is a thing i thought was normally done after the custoomer had left.
i would prob think its an individual or 2 that thinks the job is funny and doesnt take it seriously. if u know the names of the guy u spoke to then as said befor u should send an e mail with the time date and person u spoke to explaining:
after all the great stuff i have heard about VAG parts and how good they service is, i was totally devistated with the customer service i got when i rang up to order stuff as the person hadnt put me on hold, thinking he had he was slagging me of to someone.
something like that. time date and persons name if u know it will be good to, cause if he takes your complaint seriously he will use the time and date to try to figure out who it was and talk to them, maybe he will even offer u something like a 10% discount on your next order or something. where i work (focus) if customers arnt happy we sometimes give them vouchers or discount on theyre purchase to make it up to them and sort the complaint out to.
for example weve had complaints abotu staff from customers and the person who had the complaint against them was spoken to in the managers office and the incident was recorded on file.
you never know unless you try.
but out of curiousity does n e one know the name of the silver of my car? its a mk5 2000 silver but i dont know the name for it and i cant seem to find it n e where.

Being a 2000 it may be Satin Silver, without a pic it's hard to say.

I had a problem with one of the guys from VAGParts on this forum, I wanted a whole load of stuff for a Passat (about 150-200 quids worth) and he replied to me saying "this is a polo forum" in a sarcastic manner, not giving me any prices or help. I went on to get the stuff from German and Swedish.
not mentioning the fact he'd replied to loads of other requests for parts for other cars, and I thought the idea was to do business, not act like a moron in a bad mood....
on the flip side, I've got other parts from them and they've been helpful and well packaged. I guess the guy was in a bad mood that one day, but it doesn't help matters sometimes.

as an aside, surely the VAGParts forum should be closed?
they haven't replied in over a year to anything, and it looks bad on uk-polos to have out of date stuff, when contact details would be enough.

Last reply was 27th Jan 2007 so I guess they have stopped looking at this forum
I agree as well - just leave the section and adjust the sticky to say how the system should work - ie ring up, email or snail mail

Hi Ian
I am sorry to hear this happened and this is in no way how our company sets out to do business as most people on this forum we will tell you, we did have a member of staff that we had to let go recently, We as a company have always had very close links with the UK Polos.net and although we have not been able to serve the forum due to personal commitments, we are still offering discounts to all forum members and are contactable via e-mail at sales@vagparts or on the phone. I hope to be able to return to this role very soon.

Good to have you comment on the Alan, it shows that you do care about Customer Service. Some other companies wouldn't have made the effort.
I know from my past experiences with you guys that you get the job done, I've got no complaints and will definately continue to both use and recommend you.
