slightly different i know, but i have a mkv1 with a bit of a different engine in it. i have the 20v head, (AGU) from a Golf together with the 1.8T block but without the turbo, this is bolted to a 6 speed (GXV) Golf/Lupo box. The flanges on the box have been changed along with the hubs to a MK4 Golf setup, thus allowing me to run the bigger driveshafts from the golf. The car is 210bhp, which is not bad for a normally aspirated engine. It's all quite straight forward as there is loads of room. The difference is this is a race car, so there is no doubt some parts removed from the engine bay which helps with space, but it can be done. The car runs in the VW-Racing-Cup and when i find out how i will stick some pics on, i'm new and it's a bit different to another VW forum i'm on.
Cheers

is this the Polo cup or the VW Cup? I know Joe Fulbrook and we went to watch him race at Brands this year. Nice guy.
210bhp from a N/A is bloody good - then I noticed that it's a race engine so that's why it's so good!
How are you doing in the cup this year?

yep it's the VW CUP, so this poor little girl is battling against her big sisters. Joe is a good guy and deserved to win it, we missed Brands due to technical probs, a 1am rebuild to find a part not there!!!. Although it's a race car, and 210bhp, its only done with mapping, fueling etc, it's standard top and bottom. Milltek exhaust, but heres a tip, i got an extra 4/5bhp just from wrapping the exhaust.... once we get the ratios wright i think it's quite capable of being right at the sharp end for next year...watch this space as they say. Cheers, Doug.
p.s all the braided hoses are just to make the engine breath better, it wouldn't work until we came up with this solution.
