camber shims are what your looking for mate. they're normally used on the scene to increase negative camber to get more tuck in, can be used the otherway tho. they're fully adjustable

Does anyone know... how much lowering the car effects rear toe?
I assume the camber shims people have used have a wedge on both camber and toe to return it to straight?

yeh my toe is out. I wouldn't have thought camber shims would fix that tho

Im not sure what the camber shims for the polo are like..
The ones I fitted to my sierra when I lowered it fitted between the upright/hub and the suspension arm..
They were tapered in both directions so corrected for camber and toe.... Are the polo ones not similar?

I've only seen pictures of camber shims, they're round, and look a bit like a timing meter on a house boiler?
so i'm assuming they go between the hub and wheel.
