I've not seen you around, where in Croydon are you?
Re: My Green 6n2 + UPDATES!!
thanks mate, wheels were not really what i wanted but i really hated the standard ones, all 4 of the steels were not even the same!, hopefully if i end up keeping my polo for a while i will invest in something a bit more dubstyle6N2 GTI 00 wrote:Car is looking good mate,
The wheels are not my cup of tea but they look much better than the standard wheels.
The grille makes the world of difference, I am not normally a fan of black VW badges but it really does suit your car, the green/black colour combo works well.
Keep up the good work

Re: My Green 6n2 + UPDATES!!
Managed to finish up the rear badge today and de-wiper it
however my brake lights have stopped working
, do any of the wires for the brake lights run through the boot panel? i only unplugged the one attached to the wiper motor
probably need a new brake light switch

Re: My Green 6n2 + UPDATES!!
Usually if it is the brake light switch the EPC light would come on your dash...
Re: My Green 6n2 + UPDATES!!
yep the EPC has been on since i bought it about 3 months ago, but the brake light has been working. il check the fuse tomorrow if its not that il pick up a brakelight switch from a local car parts
Re: My Green 6n2 + UPDATES!!
why not have a go with vag-com?
Re: My Green 6n2 + UPDATES!!
i bought a cable off ebay (£9 blue one) and using the shareware version of vag com, but i cant seem to get it to work, it scans but nothings coming up, but i have the engine check light and the epc light on. ( on the version on the pc it says select chassis code, i chose 6N because 6N2 isnt on there, do i need to add 6n2 to the .txt file?) - for those who know what im talking aboutdub6n2 wrote:why not have a go with vag-com?
Re: My Green 6n2 + UPDATES!!
Bring it round and I'll plug it into my one - I cleared my engine management last night
Re: My Green 6n2 + UPDATES!!
it works fine for me when choosing 6n. if it is scanning it should be working all right. try scanning using the engine controller option.RS_GT wrote:i bought a cable off ebay (£9 blue one) and using the shareware version of vag com, but i cant seem to get it to work, it scans but nothings coming up, but i have the engine check light and the epc light on. did you just switch the ignition on then plug in and auto-scan?
Re: My Green 6n2 + UPDATES!!
plug the cable, switch the ignition and then from the options check that you have the working COM Port chosen by running the test. if it is giving you that error either the ignition is not switched on or the wrong port is chosen. and preferably always choose the same USB port or else you will have to continually change the COM port setting
