That wasn't where I got mine unless they changed names. Just give a few people a call though and ask what's involved in The refurb and what warranty you get on it. Make sure you get the rivvets replaced with bolts on Tw refurb

Ahrite you must have used a different company based in Kent then

1st Gear Transmissions are pretty well renown for refurbing Volkswagen Gearboxes though, particularly Polo & Golf GTI Boxes.
There are a few lads on here that have used them (including myself), they uprate the rivets and offer pretty good deals on prices.

The Box I was supplied was certainly better than the OEM Box as were the gear ratios

Picked up a recon'd box for £250 today. It had done 3 miles before the guy hit an uninsured driver. Still has 7 months left on the warranty, so we should be back on the road tomorow.
